Why is Don Jamieson the Last National Act to Play This Iconic Club?

Seth Williams and Chris Akin aren't here to play by the rules or read from a corporate script. In this raw, unedited session, the guys are joined by special guest and comedian Don Jamieson to pull back the curtain on the "death" of the legendary Funny Stop. Between Seth’s "swollen ball syndrome" updates and the arrival of restaurant reporter Tony Musachio from the new and improved SHOOTERS, this is the high-octane chaos the mainstream media is too terrified to broadcast. If you want the truth from a comedy veteran who has seen it all, you’re in the right place.

Remembering Ross The Boss!!

This is a big one for me, personally. I got to know Ross a bit over the years (certainly not a close friend, but friendly each time we spoke or ran into each other). He was always very nice to me!! ALS is a motherfucker, so in passing quick after it was announced, I'm hopeful he wasn't quietly suffering with it for years and it wasn't a long, painful end.

RIP Sir. I'll miss the pings in the background of your interviews, your joking spirit, and of course the amazing riffs that will never EVER be forgotten by Metalheads!!

R.I.P. Ross The Boss!

In the shadowed halls of metal lore, where thunderous riffs once shook the earth and warriors raised their voices to the heavens, we mourn the passing of a true legend: Ross “The Boss” Friedman.

Born in the Bronx on January 3, 1954, Ross forged a path that bridged the raw fury of punk with the epic grandeur of heavy metal. As a founding member of The Dictators, he helped birth the protopunk sound that would echo through generations. Then, alongside Joey DeMaio, he co-founded Manowar, the band that defined power metal’s unyielding spirit—songs of steel, glory, and unbreakable brotherhood that inspired armies of fans worldwide to stand tall and fight on.

Ross “The Boss” wasn’t just a guitarist; he was a force of nature. His blazing solos and thunderous tone powered anthems that still roar from stages and speakers alike. He lived the warrior code: loud, proud, and fearless. Even in his final battle with ALS—a cruel adversary that silenced his hands but never his indomitable...

Brian Tichy Introduces Led By Vultures!

Listen up, you riff-hungry animals! The legendary drummer, guitarist, and all-around rock warrior Brian Tichy has cooked up a fresh Los Angeles-based heavy rock monster. This band didn’t just form – it exploded over the past year, slamming down 12 tracks that are nothing but loud guitars, massive drums, big greasy riffs, killer grooves, aggressive vocals, and a vibe like you’re flying through a goddamn tornado at full throttle!

Tichy started this thing as a fun, organic jam... but it quickly turned into a full-blown obsession. The man poured every ounce of his blood, sweat, and monster talent into serving the songs right. No filler. No poser crap. Just pure, uncompromising heavy music.

Their first punch to the face is the single and video “Get It Right” – out now on Deko Entertainment. Tichy nails it: “It’s simple, it’s basic power, and it drives home that heavy guitar riff like the old-school bands that raised us. Perfect way to kick off the party!”

And the video? It’s a steroids-fueled basement house party – raw, in-your-face, sweaty, and alive. You’ve got Tichy ripping it up front and center, joined by beast-mode drummer Shane Hawkins (yeah, Taylor Hawkins’ kid – the kid’s got the fire in his veins) and bassist Brent Woods. These three look like they’re having the time of their lives while absolutely destroying.

This whole project is about one thing: serving the song, the groove, and the raw power. No trendy garbage, no overproduced junk – just real rock ‘n’ roll that hits you in the chest and makes you wanna bang your head and raise a fist.

The full album is coming later this year and if the first single is any indication, it’s gonna be a brutal, groove-heavy monster. Led By Vultures isn’t here to play nice – they’re here to remind everyone what real heavy rock sounds like.

Crank “Get It Right” immediately. If it doesn’t make you feel alive, check your pulse – you might already be dead.

Tesla Announces R&B Covers Album

Tesla just dropped a bomb: they're unleashing a full R&B and soul covers album called Homage in July. Yeah, you heard that right. The same dudes who gave us Modern Day Cowboy and Love Song are now having Jeff Keith belt out Sam Cooke, Etta James, James Brown, and some obscure Temptations cuts.

Frank Hannon called it "a very interesting record" with some really cool songs... plus one brand new Tesla original titled "Never Alone". Brian Wheat's been producing the hell out of it, and they've already been testing the waters live with Supertramp's "Give a Little Bit" and that Climax Blues Band jam "I Love You" that's racking up millions of streams.

Look, Jeff Keith's always had serious soul in that voice—nobody's denying the man can still sing his ass off. But Tesla going full R&B homage? That's bold as hell. Some of you are gonna eat it up because it shows off what Jeff can really do beyond the hard rock roar. Others are already screaming "sellout" or "what the fuck happened to the electric guitars?"

Me? I'm intrigued but skeptical. Tesla's always been that blue-collar, no-frills hard rock band with heart. Swinging into soul classics could either be a killer showcase that proves they're still relevant... or it could land like a total train wreck if it feels forced. Either way, it's not the straight-ahead rock record a lot of the diehards have been begging for after Shock and that All About Love EP.

GET TESLA'S GREATEST HITS HERE: https://amzn.to/4bZCkpq

They're hitting the road this summer with Mötley Crüe and Extreme on the Carnival of Sins tour, so expect to hear some of this new stuff live. Will the crowd eat up Jeff crooning soul tunes between the bangers? We'll see.

This is either a smart left turn or the weirdest curveball in Tesla's career. I'm grabbing it day one just to hear how they twist these classics. You should too—then tell me if it's genius or garbage.

Look, if you’re tired of the watered-down, PC garbage in the music world, you need to be where the real talk happens. Don't be a poser—get over to https://classicmetalshow.locals.com right now and sign up as a VIP. It’s imperative. Do it now, or stay in the dark with the rest of the losers.

MOST OF CLASSIC KING DIAMOND LINE-UP UNITES IN NEW BAND; LEX LEGION

Lex Legion is a brand new band comprised of old friends with incredible heavy metal pedigree. Comprising of four-fifths of the classic late 1980s King Diamond line-up – drummer Mikkey Dee, guitarists Pete Blakk and Andy La Rocque, and bassist Hal Patino – the group is infused with the jaw-dropping vocals of Nils K. Rue (Pagan's Mind). And let's not overlook that their members also boast Motörhead, Scorpions, and Death on its collective resumes.

Lex Legion's eponymous debut album is a single-minded, future-facing throwback of world class hard rock/metal distinguished by tasteful, less-is-more arrangements, virtuoso musicianship, and relentless melody and harmony.

"Lex Legion is totally written the way we thought in the '80s," said Mikkey Dee. "We wrote what we wanted, and if you liked it, that was a great bonus. If you didn't like it, that was fine with us, too!"

Lex Legion was formed by Blakk and Dee, and completed by Patino, alongside La Rocque (a King Diamond constant since 1985, who also played on Death's seminal 'Individual Thought Patterns'), and finally, Rue.

This is music for hard rock/metal fans, but also with a freshness and sense of excitement that only a debut album can capture. Lex Legion's members find themselves more musically accomplished than ever before, but now free of the egos of youth; and with friendship that comes with careers spanning more than forty years.

Despite their impressive resumes (Dee is also a Grammy winner and both La Rocque and Hal Patino are nominees) and busy individual schedules, Lex Legion is a serious passion project that's been gestating for a quarter century, until the time was right.

Lex Legion's self-titled debut will be released by MNRK Music Group in June of 2026, with possible touring beginning the following year. And the band states its case within the first few seconds of its album opener and first single "Sleep Eternally," which drops on March 31st.

"It has elements of everything on the album," said La Rocque. "The right tempo and the right kind of vocals, starting out like a fist in your face!" Rue's soaring pipes and ominous harmonies are framed by Dee's unmistakable powerhouse drumming, imaginative leads from both guitarists, Patino's melodic basslines, and shifts of pace and tempo that will satiate fans of more progressive sub genres.

The second track and follow-up single "Gypsy Tears" (which arrives in May) seals the deal – eerie, rapturous, otherworldly, propulsive and evocative, but also, straight-up driving, melodic metal.

"This is totally unique. No one is writing this kind of music and there's a big hole for us to fill," Blakk concluded. "Welcome to our new journey of friendship and hard rock!"
