75-Year-Old Grandma Picks The Wrong Shift Leader At Tim Hortons (VIP)

Neeley and Chris dive into the bizarre legal fallout of a Tennessee school board member facing criminal assault charges after a context-dependent comment to a student. Was it a predatory move, or did an algorithmic outrage mob just destroy a 20-year career over a colloquial phrase? Immediately following that, the hosts react to the shocking viral footage of an elderly woman engaging in a physical brawl with a Tim Hortons shift leader. We break down the footage, look at who threw the first punch, and ask the uncomfortable question: Has public decorum officially collapsed?

Has Def Leppard Become Better in Vegas Than They Ever Were in Their Prime?

For a band pushing five decades into its career, Def Leppard is doing something that a lot of legacy acts talk about but very few actually achieve: they're still creating moments that matter. Their newly released live performance video for "Rejoice" from Live At Caesars Palace: The Las Vegas Residency isn't just another concert clip. It's a reminder that Def Leppard refuses to become a greatest-hits jukebox.

Need something legendary spinning while you watch this unfold? Def Leppard - PYROMANIA 40TH ANNIVERSARY BOX SET - https://amzn.to/46AhFaB

Here's the reality:

Most classic rock bands eventually settle into a formula. Fans buy tickets expecting the same songs, the same stage banter, and the same show they've seen for 20 years. Def Leppard appears determined to fight that trap.

placeholder

The band's Las Vegas residency wasn't built around nostalgia alone. They introduced "Rejoice" into the set, dusted off deeper catalog cuts, and completely rebuilt their stage production from the ground up. According to Joe Elliott, virtually everything from previous tours was scrapped in favor of an entirely new presentation.

And that's where this gets interesting.

GREAT PRICE ON THE DOUBLE VINYL OF DEF LEPPARD'S HYSTERIA: https://amzn.to/3RXy6Zk

Phil Collen recently made a statement that many fans might view as borderline outrageous. He claimed that the final night of the Caesars Palace residency may have been one of the greatest shows Def Leppard has ever played — possibly the best. That's a bold claim when your career includes stadium tours, massive festival appearances, and decades of arena domination.

But after watching the "Rejoice" footage, it's not hard to understand where that confidence is coming from.

The band looks energized.

The vocals are strong.

placeholder

The performance feels focused.

Most importantly, they don't look like a band simply cashing checks.

That's a critical distinction.

"Rejoice" itself represents something many fans have been asking for: fresh material with some actual punch behind it. The song arrived ahead of the residency and deliberately pushed toward a harder-edged sound than some of the band's more recent material. Phil Collen even described it as having more "oomph" than what they've been doing lately.

Is Vegas Actually Making Def Leppard Better?

That may sound ridiculous on paper.

Vegas residencies often carry a reputation as career victory laps.

But Def Leppard's third residency seems to have had the opposite effect.

The band expanded the production, experimented with the setlist, brought new music into the spotlight, and reportedly left feeling rejuvenated rather than exhausted. Elliott called the production the biggest and most visually ambitious show they've ever mounted.

That's not the behavior of a band preparing for retirement.

It's the behavior of a band still chasing something.

And fans should pay attention to that.

placeholder

The Real Test

The real question isn't whether "Rejoice" is the next "Pour Some Sugar On Me."

It's not.

Nothing will ever be.

The real question is whether Def Leppard still has enough creative fuel left to justify making new music in 2026 and beyond.

Based on what we're seeing, the answer appears to be yes.

Reports suggest the band already has substantial material in development for future releases, and there are growing indications that another studio album is moving closer to reality.

That's the story here.

Not nostalgia.

Not legacy.

Momentum.

What Happens Next?

If Def Leppard can carry the energy from these Vegas performances into their next studio release, fans may be witnessing something rare:

placeholder

A classic band that refuses to fade quietly.

Whether you love "Rejoice" or think it doesn't touch the classics, one thing is becoming increasingly difficult to deny:

Def Leppard still sounds like they have something to prove.

And that's dangerous for anyone who thought they were finished.

Tell Us What You Think

Did the new "Rejoice" performance prove Def Leppard is still a major creative force?

Poll: Has Def Leppard earned the right to keep pushing new music?

  • 🔥 Absolutely — they're still evolving and delivering
  • 🤘 Mix the new songs with the classics, but don't abandon either
  • ❌ Stick to the hits — the best material is already behind them

COAL CHAMBER Pulls Out Of Major Festival As Mikey Cox Faces Another Cancer Surgery
Just when fans thought the nightmare was over, another difficult chapter begins.

placeholder

For a lot of metal fans, this news hits harder than any album announcement. Just weeks after celebrating what looked like a triumphant comeback, COAL CHAMBER drummer Mikey "Bug" Cox has revealed he's heading back into surgery as part of his ongoing cancer battle. The band has now canceled its appearance at Louder Than Life so Cox can focus on what matters most: winning this fight once and for all.

Need something legendary in your collection while this story unfolds? Metallica - The Broadcast Collection 1988-1994 - https://amzn.to/4phEFBg

Here's the reality: this isn't a story about a canceled festival slot. It's a story about perspective.

According to Cox, months of scans, testing, and medical appointments have finally led doctors to approve what is hoped to be his final cancer-related surgery. While the drummer admitted he's disappointed to miss the festival, he described the development as the news his family has been fighting for throughout this ordeal.

What makes this especially emotional is the timing.

placeholder

Back in April, fans were celebrating Cox's return to the stage with COAL CHAMBER at Sick New World. At the time, he revealed that he had spent roughly a year battling Stage 3 cancer, enduring radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery before reaching cancer-free status.

Many assumed the worst was finally behind him.

Now we're reminded that recovery isn't always a straight line.

One of the most powerful aspects of this story is how openly Cox has shared the experience. He has repeatedly described the battle as dark, terrifying, and life-changing while refusing to let it define him. Throughout treatment, he continued creating music, supporting his family, and looking toward the future.

placeholder

And that's where this story becomes bigger than COAL CHAMBER.

Metal has always celebrated resilience. Fans connect with artists because they're real people dealing with real struggles. There's no stage production or marketing campaign that can manufacture what Cox has earned from the community over the past year.

The response from fans has been overwhelming because people recognize authenticity when they see it.

Even frontman Dez Fafara became emotional discussing Cox's return to the stage, describing the drummer's survival as something many people might not have overcome. Seeing him perform again after such a brutal fight became one of the most powerful moments in the band's recent history.

What Happens Next?

For now, the focus shifts entirely to surgery and recovery.

placeholder

COAL CHAMBER's festival appearance can wait.

The records will still be there. The tours will still be there. The fans will still be there.

The priority is making sure Mikey Cox gets the chance to step behind that drum kit again.

And judging by the determination he's shown so far, betting against him seems like a very bad idea.
