Jose Mangin says "I’m completely blown away to be DWP’s first ever main host for ALL their incredible rock/metal festivals! I’ve been manifesting this dream scenario for over a decade, as I’m the biggest fan of what Danny & his all-star team have done for our community. I want to help make the fan’s experience something super cool, and by adding an authentic, passionate, friendly and energetic voice to all of these festivals means the world to me. I love bringing people together through our mutual adoration of the heavy music scene. I can’t wait to fly the flag for ALL of us for the next two f’in years!!!"
Jose Mangin, a.k.a. MVP of hard rock and heavy metal, is one of the most recognized personalities and voices in hard rock, heavy metal, and extreme music culture, transcending boundaries with an unrivaled passion and enthusiasm.
To be sure, the man revered as Metal Ambassador by Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, and millions of SiriusXM listeners loves it loud. But his commitment to rock n’ roll is surpassed only by his love for people. Beyond economic class, race, gender, religion, or creed, Mangin lives to bring us together, with a genuine dedication to community and family and a celebratory vigor for life.
A beloved host, voiceover artist, and actor (as seen in the Amazon Prime series Paradise City), Jose Mangin’s warmth and boundless drive endear him to true believers and outsiders alike. His unquenchable zeal permeates any project he’s involved in, regardless of genre or demographic.
As an energetic presenter and conversational interviewer, Jose’s broadcast television and digital host history include a four-year stint helming MTV’s Headbangers Ball; eight years with the nationally syndicated LatiNation, in over 100 major Latino markets; and multiple award shows. Programs broadcast with Amazon, AXS-TV, and VH1, among others, often utilize his natural talent.
Like the fastest music, he’s in constant motion. An authority on the combined force of relentless work ethic and ceaseless appetite for good times, Mangin helped launch the biggest hard rock channels in the world, Octane and Liquid Metal, serving over 20 years as SiriusXM’s longest-running rock radio host. He’s regularly appeared on The Howard Stern Show, Raw Dog Comedy, and the Covino & Rich Show. He tattooed his love of bands like Pantera and Metallica on his skin.
Jose hosted the historic Big 4 concert at Yankee Stadium (featuring Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax); Ozzy’s birthday bash at Madison Square Garden; multiple festivals organized around the United States by Danny Wimmer Presents, including Welcome To Rockville; Dean Guitars NAMM webcast; and rock n’ roll comedy roasts put on by Revolver and Guitar World magazines.

Jose studied chemistry at the University of Arizona and went to grad school for pharmacy in Memphis at the University of Tennessee. Eager to give back to hardworking academic-minded kids who love music like him, he established the Headbang For Science scholarship, given each year to a deserving student who wants to pursue a career in science and is passionate about heavy metal.

...AND OTHER THINGS I SHOULD NOT SAY......
The shocking conversation that needs to happen right now is here. Following the murder of ex-Lost Prophets singer Ian Watkins, convicted of unimaginable crimes against children, the question is simple: Is it morally okay to celebrate the death of a truly evil human being? We dive deep into this controversial topic with a no-holds-barred discussion that uses the Charlie Kirk murder backlash as a yardstick. Where do we draw the line between “murder is murder” and being happy a monster is off the planet? This episode gets dark, raw, and immediately viral-worthy as we tackle this difficult moral dilemma that the mainstream media is too afraid to touch.
Beyond the heavy stuff, Seth airs a personal and unnerving problem: a potential stalker is continually breaking into his home, turning on the gas and flooding the garage. It’s a terrifying escalation that reminds everyone about the very real-world danger of social media anonymity and threatening people’s lives. We also break down the absolute wreckage that...
Chris and Erik start the show with a look back at some of the weird stuff they acquired during their divorces, including a bizarre musket lamp and ridiculous framed art. This leads them into an extended riff on collectible items, telemarketing scams like the Highlander coin collection, and ‘of the month’ clubs for everything from plates to film. The guys then transition to discussing old TV shows like Columbo and Twilight Zone, reflecting on how much the world has changed, especially regarding how crimes are solved and the general ‘70s aesthetic. Finally, they dive deep into the messy truth about the music business, discussing Steven Pearcy‘s generosity on tour, why paying to open for bands like Texas Hippie Coalition and Tesla is often a losing game, and the new, internet-focused approach to building a music career.
