In a recent social media announcement, BulletBoys have confirmed the return of their original bassist and co-founder, Lonnie Vencent, marking his fifth stint with the band since its inception in 1987. Vencent, now 60, has been part of BulletBoys during various periods (1987–2000, 2006, 2009–2014, 2019–2022). The current announcement brings him back into the fold as they start recording their tenth studio album.
Marq Torien, the lead singer and the only continuous member throughout BulletBoys' nearly four-decade history, shared the news on Instagram on December 7, 2024. The post, which also features drummer Fred Aching, celebrates the reunion with enthusiasm, stating, “3 Real Badass Mothertruckers!!! ... So it begins!!! 1st day of tracking for our New Album!!! In a recent interview with Heavy Consequence, Rob Halford of Judas Priest discussed the band's upcoming "Shield Of Pain" tour in 2025, celebrating the 35th anniversary of their landmark album "Painkiller." The tour, described as a "rare" and "unique set," promises to include "beloved classics" and aims to offer fans a "truly memorable experience" across Europe. Halford revealed that while the entire "Painkiller" album won't be played in sequence, they are considering various formats for integrating its songs into the setlist, emphasizing the once-in-a-lifetime nature of the performance.
