In a candid conversation on SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk," DEEP PURPLE's iconic frontman Ian Gillan revealed that retirement is nowhere on the horizon for him and his bandmates—despite their "Long Goodbye" tour kicking off over seven years ago. Gillan explained that the name of the tour was more of a playful nod to promoters trying to boost ticket sales than an actual farewell. "I suggested 'goodbye tour,' but added 'long' to keep it mysterious," Gillan said.
With no plans to slow down, Gillan shared that DEEP PURPLE is already booked through the end of 2026, pushing back his solo projects to make room for even more Purple magic. The rock legend’s message is clear: DEEP PURPLE isn't saying goodbye anytime soon.
