David Ellefson and Ken Mary Release Single With Cathy Rankin
Cathy Rankin has unveiled her debut single, "Now You've Gone," an emotional tribute featuring rock icons David Ellefson (formerly of MEGADETH) and Ken Mary (formerly of ALICE COOPER). Inspired by personal loss, the song reflects on love, grief, and hope. Rankin wrote it in memory of her nephew, Christian, and legendary drummer Neil Peart, both of whom profoundly impacted her life. "The song expresses the void left by their absence and connects with others who’ve experienced similar loss," she explains.
The song was a natural fit for Rankin, Ellefson, Mary, and guitarist John Bronson, all of whom share Arizona roots and connections through the Metal Hall Of Fame. Their mutual admiration for RUSH’s legacy led them to develop the track together. Co-written and produced by Mary, "Now You've Gone" is a product of strong collaboration, blending Rankin’s heartfelt vision with powerful musicianship.
