Alright, here we go with GOTTHARD's latest, "Stereo Crush". Dropping on March 21, 2025, via Reigning Phoenix Music, this band from the land of chocolate and watches is back with what they're calling a high-powered journey through hard rock. But let's not get too excited, shall we?
First off, with the new drummer Flavio Mezzodi, this album tries to blend the old-school Gotthard vibe with some fresh sounds, but does it really work? Meh.
"AI & I" kicks things off with a bang, aiming to remind us of the band's roots while trying to sound modern. It's okay, but nothing to write home about. "Boom Boom" is their attempt at a personal touch, with Leo Leoni penning a tune about his kid. It's got hooks, sure, but it's not going to make you forget about "Hallelujah" anytime soon.
"Thunder & Lightning" sounds like they're trying to make an anthem for the next big sports event, but it's just another track in their long list. "Rusty Rose" is where they ...
