In a recent chat with Germany’s Metal Hammer magazine, Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser opened up about the Brazilian metal band’s ongoing farewell tour, which began in early 2024. When asked about the location of their final performance, Kisser revealed (as transcribed by Blabbermouth.net): “We’re eyeing a massive show in São Paulo, Brazil, or maybe in Belo Horizonte, where Sepultura started. We’re still weighing our options. Our goal is to wrap up by the end of 2026 with this last gig. There’s no rush to end things just because we announced the farewell a couple of years back. We had a blast last year, and 2025 is already shaping up nicely. We’re hitting Lollapalooza in South America—Brazil, Argentina, and Chile—plus some gigs in Central America, European festivals, and special one-offs. In 2026, we want to tackle the big festivals and close it out in Brazil.”
