I know... it's always changing!!
All, Just letting you all know of a very, very simple change that I don't think will affect many (if any).
I'm changing the way I, on behalf of both myself, my shows and the cms network as a whole, interact online. Going forward, Locals will be my ONLY actual SOCIAL media platform.
Twitter may have the occasional post of something new like music or whatever, but that's it.
Facebook, IG, and X will now be treated as "Media" platforms where I will do nothing more but post episodes and news about the shows.
Rumble, Locals, Substack and Odysee will be the uploaded video platforms.
Rumble and CMStv will be the live outlets.
Minds and Tiktok I'm doing away with.
If you are still reading this far down, here's why. As you guys know, I study this stuff to try to understand it (well, as well as anyone can). The bottom line on 90% of it is that unless you are advertising with these platforms as well as "boosting" every post, they get almost no traction. I watched a training seminar this week that broke it down on the biggies. Facebook reaches less than 1% of the people that actually make the effort to follow you. With those numbers, what is the point?
That said, groups like we have on Locals - 90% reach because the group members are actively engaged. It just makes sense to interact here, and spam on the "media" platforms for the basic stuff - episodes and the like.
