Las Vegas, NV – In a significant update, former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee has confirmed that the two individuals allegedly responsible for shooting him last fall have been arrested and are scheduled for sentencing next month (July 2025). This news comes as Lee prepares for his highly anticipated performance at the "Back To The Beginning" event in Birmingham, UK, an all-star concert marking Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne's final live performance.

Last October, Lee, 68, was shot multiple times in his driveway – in the forearm, back (breaking a rib), and foot – during an early morning incident while about to walk his dog, Coco. Miraculously, no vital organs were hit, and his beloved dog was unharmed. Local police reportedly found 15 shell casings at the scene.

Lee previously detailed the terrifying encounter, recalling how he noticed two men "dressed in black, hoodies pulled down low," seemingly casing a motorcycle in a neighbor's driveway. After a brief, tense exchange where the men told him to "fuck off," Lee continued his walk, believing they were more intimidated by his loyal pitbull, Coco, than by him.
It was then, from about 50 feet away, that the shots rang out. Lee realized the assailant was aiming for his dog. He quickly yelled for Coco to go home and threw the leash, saving his pet's life. "One bullet went through my forearm, one through my foot, and one in the back, which broke a rib and damaged a lung," Lee stated, thankfully adding, "All the fingers still move."
"My Case Is Almost an Afterthought"
In a recent social media post, Lee shared the update on the arrests, noting, "The gun was tied to two previous murders so my case is almost an afterthought. They're going bye bye for a long time." This revelation underscores the severity of the alleged offenders' criminal history and brings a sense of closure to Lee and his community.
Preparing for a Historic Performance in Birmingham
Despite the ordeal, Jake E. Lee is focused on his upcoming performance at the "Back To The Beginning" concert on July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK. This event is a monumental occasion for heavy metal fans, as it will feature the original Black Sabbath lineup's final performance and Ozzy Osbourne's farewell as a solo artist.
Lee expressed his excitement about sharing the stage with a lineup of "top tier musicians," though he kept names under wraps until rehearsals next week. He confirmed he expects to be "first at bat," meaning his dog Coco will have to be up early to watch "Pops" via the pay-per-view livestream!

Thrash metal legends MEGADETH have dropped their latest single and music video, "I Don’t Care," today, November 14, ramping up excitement for what frontman Dave Mustaine has confirmed as the band's swan song studio album. The self-titled record is slated for release on January 23, 2026, via Mustaine's Tradecraft imprint in partnership with Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK label.
