VIMIC Reunites to Honor Joey Jordison with Special Concert Featuring Luana Damett
Los Angeles, CA – VIMIC, the band founded by late Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, will reunite for a one-night-only concert on October 3, 2025, at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles. Presented by the Joey Jordison Charitable Fund, the event will celebrate Jordison’s legacy and mark the release of VIMIC’s long-awaited album, Open Your Omen. The band has announced that Luana Dametto, drummer for Brazilian death metal outfit Crypta, will join them as a “‘special guest” drummer for the performance.
“We’re thrilled to have Luana Dametto behind the kit for this unforgettable night,” VIMIC said in a statement. “Her power, precision, and passion make her the perfect fit to honor Joey and celebrate the release of Open Your Omen.”
Dametto, who began playing drums at age 12, credits Jordison as a major influence on her career. “Joey was my first drum idol and remains my biggest,” she said. “His blast-beating style, relentless double bass, and creative fills shaped how I approach drums. He used his kit to translate emotion and intention, showing us what music is truly about—passion and creativity.”
The concert will feature support from Wednesday 13, who collaborated with Jordison in Murderdolls, along with other surprise guests. The event promises to be a heartfelt tribute to Jordison, who passed away in 2021, while showcasing VIMIC’s new music. Tickets are available through the Teragram Ballroom’s website.
