Thrash metal legends MEGADETH have dropped their latest single and music video, "I Don’t Care," today, November 14, ramping up excitement for what frontman Dave Mustaine has confirmed as the band's swan song studio album. The self-titled record is slated for release on January 23, 2026, via Mustaine's Tradecraft imprint in partnership with Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK label.
Directed by Keith J Leman, the video for "I Don’t Care" fuses high-energy skate culture visuals with intense band performance shots, capturing the group's raw, uncompromising spirit. Mustaine, the driving force behind MEGADETH, described the track as an anthem for unfiltered honesty. "How many times have you wanted to say this to someone? I know you want to! Deep down inside, if we had the balls, we would tell more people, ‘I don’t care’ more often," he said.
