Skid Row has officially introduced Justin Sargent as its new lead singer, but will another frontman finally put the Sebastian Bach reunion questions to rest? On this Halloween edition of THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW, Neeley and Chris Akin dig into Skid Row's latest lineup change and the band's future before turning their attention to Aerosmith's farewell weekend at the Hollywood Bowl. Is this really the end for Steven Tyler and company, or could there be another chapter? The guys also discuss the upcoming KISS *End of the Road* documentary, Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath's *Back to the Beginning* concert film, and Iron Maiden's apparent determination to keep performing as long as physically possible. Are these legendary bands protecting their legacies, or is the rock business finding new ways to keep the money flowing? It's another uncensored, opinionated edition of THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW, where nothing is off-limits and nobody gets a free pass!

Has modern recording technology taken something essential away from rock music? THE PINEAPPLE THIEF frontman Bruce Soord thinks there’s something irreplaceable about musicians creating together in the same room.

Get FAR AND WIDE from The Pineapple Thief Here: https://amzn.to/4ygui4x

In this exclusive CHRIS AKIN PRESENTS interview, Chris Akin sits down with Soord to discuss the band’s new album, *Far and Wide*, their move from longtime label Kscope to InsideOut, and why the group deliberately returned to a more traditional approach to writing and recording.

Soord explains how working together as a band helped capture the energy of their live performances, why drummer Gavin Harrison pushed everyone to become better musicians, and why this new creative direction isn’t just a temporary experiment.

The conversation also gets personal. Soord reveals the heartbreaking experience involving his father’s final days that inspired “Still Living,” discusses his changing approach to vocals and songwriting, and explains why the band’s musical complexity must serve the emotion of a song.

PLUS:

- Why THE PINEAPPLE THIEF left Kscope after approximately 20 years.

- How Gavin Harrison helped elevate the band’s musicianship.

- Why recording together can accomplish things remote collaboration cannot.

- The emotional story behind “Still Living.”

- Why “No Exceptions” represents the band’s collaborative approach.

- How Bruce Soord’s singing voice has evolved.

- Why touring America is becoming increasingly expensive.

- Why Soord wants fans supporting independent record stores.

Is the future of rock music actually hiding in the way bands made records 50 years ago?

Happy Halloween, you degenerates. While the rest of the world was carving pumpkins and pretending to be scared of plastic skeletons, Neeley and I spent the week staring down the genuinely terrifying stuff: Sebastian Bach in our comments again, YouTube's robot executioners wiping out creators, Metallica tickets priced like a used Camaro, and Roger Waters lecturing James Hetfield from his very expensive soapbox. Throw in a Spanish metal army, a proper send-off for Cleveland's loudest mouth on the radio, and you've got a week heavier than a Sabbath riff at half speed. Grab a beer, crank it, and catch up before we go live tonight. Hail and Kill.

IS YOUTUBE CENSORSHIP DESTROYING CREATORS?
A creator with roughly half a million followers reportedly lost a channel over an older video. Chris Akin and Neeley discuss the risks of automated YouTube enforcement, how a platform decision can disrupt a creator's livelihood, and why creators should keep backups and build an audience beyond one platform. WHY ARE TICKETS SO EXPENSIVE?
Why are concert tickets so expensive, and who's actually making the money? David Reece (Bangalore Choir, ex-Accept) joins Neeley and Chris Akin to discuss $7,000 Metallica tickets, corporate control of concert venues, and the growing disconnect between what fans pay and what artists earn.

Is the live music business still working for the musicians and fans who built it, or has corporate greed taken over?
