KISS Avatars Set to Rock Las Vegas in 2028 with Brand-New Songs: "We're Gonna Blow Your Socks Off"
LAS VEGAS – The gods of thunder are refusing to fade away. KISS has officially confirmed that their long-awaited avatar-based spectacular will launch in Las Vegas in 2028, complete with never-before-heard new music and an over-the-top production designed to deliver a sensory assault unlike anything rock fans have experienced. In a cover story for the upcoming May 2026 issue of Pollstar magazine, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons detailed the ambitious virtual resurrection of the band, which is being developed in partnership with Pophouse Entertainment — the Swedish company behind the groundbreaking ABBA Voyage show. The as-yet-unnamed KISS experience will mark Pophouse’s first major foray into the U.S. market. The deal between KISS and Pophouse, reportedly worth more than $300 million, gives the company rights to the band’s song catalog, name, image, likeness, iconic face paint designs, and artist shares of master recordings and publishing. Bigger, Bolder, and EternalUnlike ABBA Voyage, which recreates a 1970s-era concert with highly realistic digital versions of the band, the KISS avatars teased at the group’s final concert at Madison Square Garden in December 2023 were pure comic-book fantasy: eight-feet-tall superheroes breathing fire, shooting electricity from their fingers, and floating above the crowd.Pophouse CEO Jessica Koravos told Pollstar that the technology and creative concept have evolved dramatically since that prototype:

"A lot has evolved since then — both in terms of creative concept for the show and avatar technology. We are now deep in development with a top-flight creative team headed by Thierry Coup... The show concept is a crazy 4D roller coaster ride through the hits, the comic book worlds and personas of KISS."

Simmons promised the production will go far beyond current immersive experiences like the Sphere, telling Ultimate Classic Rock:

"We're gonna blow your socks off in a way multiple times more exciting than the Sphere... I'll go out on a limb and make sure people understand this is gonna make that seem like popcorn fart. It'll be mind-blowing."

He added that the show will "attack the senses" with heat from fire effects, smells of brimstone and even coffee, creating a fully immersive experience that goes well beyond visuals.Stanley echoed the excitement in a recent interview, saying the avatar show "is gonna blow everybody's minds" and extends the life of the band far beyond traditional rock boundaries.

"There's no reason for us to live within the boundaries of other rock bands... We are not that — we're KISS."

New Music on the WayOne of the biggest surprises revealed in the Pollstar interview is that the avatar show will feature brand-new KISS songs. When asked about the setlist, Stanley said it will include "all the classics through the years and some surprises," while Simmons added:

"You're gonna get all that stuff, and also new songs... We have songs done."

The avatars will feature the band’s iconic personas — The Demon, The Starchild, and others — with flexibility in the lineup according to Simmons: "Who you want to place into that lineup is up to you."Global Ambitions and a Permanent HomeWhile the debut is planned for Las Vegas, Simmons has confirmed the show will eventually tour "all around the world." The production requires a custom-built venue, as the advanced technology cannot easily move between cities like a traditional tour.KISS will reportedly become the first major American band to launch a full-scale avatar residency of this kind. The announcement comes more than two years after the band’s official "End of the Road" tour concluded, solidifying KISS’s commitment to immortality through technology. As Stanley put it, this allows the band to remain "larger than life" forever.Fans can expect a high-octane, multi-sensory celebration of KISS’s legendary catalog mixed with fresh material when the avatars finally take the stage in the desert in 2028. Rock 'n' roll all nite — for eternity.

75-Year-Old Grandma Picks The Wrong Shift Leader At Tim Hortons (VIP)

Neeley and Chris dive into the bizarre legal fallout of a Tennessee school board member facing criminal assault charges after a context-dependent comment to a student. Was it a predatory move, or did an algorithmic outrage mob just destroy a 20-year career over a colloquial phrase? Immediately following that, the hosts react to the shocking viral footage of an elderly woman engaging in a physical brawl with a Tim Hortons shift leader. We break down the footage, look at who threw the first punch, and ask the uncomfortable question: Has public decorum officially collapsed?

Some say he made the smart move. Others think the timing raises questions that still haven't been answered.

And that's only the beginning.

We also look at George Lynch distancing Lynch Mob from Dokken territory, Sepultura preparing for their final career performance, Armored Saint joining Metal Church on a major co-headlining run, and why Angry Anderson still refuses to put Rose Tattoo completely to rest.

If you're watching this here, you're already late.

Something About This New Dokken Spin-Off Feels Incredibly Off! 2012

The classic era of 80s rock is fading, but what happens when the musicians themselves start tearing down their own legacy? We stumbled onto an unannounced, under-the-radar Dokken spin-off project featuring George Lynch, Jeff Pilson, and Mick Brown, and the results are... well, you just have to hear it to believe it. From helium vocals to sloppy guitar work, this might be the strangest rock release of the year.

If you’re watching this here, you’re already late. The full episode, exclusive third segment, and early interviews are already on Locals: https://classicmetalshow.locals.com

Is this a cool tribute to a classic catalog, or is it a cheap, unproduced cash-in that should have stayed in the vault? We break down the tracks featuring Sebastian Bach, Tim "The Ripper" Owens, and Robert Mason, and point out exactly where things went completely off the rails. Let us know in the comments if you think this damages the band's history.

Fans Really Aren’t Agreeing On This 2012!

Something about the way rock media used to operate just hits differently, but not everybody agrees on what that actually means for the scene today. A look back at how "metal experts" used to handle regional festivals has left a lot of fans completely split.

Some people are calling it the funniest, most authentic representation of raw rock radio culture out there, while others are wondering how this even made it to air.

Let's not pretend the industry is the same as it used to be. Today, everything is sanitized, corporate-approved, and deeply self-serious. But when you look back at how things used to be handled behind the mic, it raises a lot of questions about where the dangerous edge of rock media actually went—or if it was just a chaotic mess all along.
