Tesla Announce New 'Homage' Covers Album for July 17, 2026 — First Taste Is a Killer Take on Climax Blues Band’s “I Love You”
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Hard rock veterans TESLA are going back to their roots. The band has officially announced their new album "Homage", a special collection of covers paying tribute to the legendary artists and songs that shaped them, set for release on July 17, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl.To give fans an early preview, Tesla has released their 2026 version of the Climax Blues Band’s classic hit “I Love You”, complete with an official music video. In a statement, the band shared:
"'I Love You', like all the tracks on 'Homage', not only pays tribute to legends but gives us a chance to showcase our lead singer’s diversity as well as the musical dynamics we learned as a band many years ago."
The album is a full-circle moment for Tesla, who began their career over 40 years ago as a cover band playing California nightclubs before breaking through with original material and selling millions of albums worldwide. Much like their heroes The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, Tesla cut their teeth performing other artists’ songs and are now celebrating that foundation."Homage" highlights the incredible vocal range of frontman Jeff Keith while honoring some of rock and soul’s greatest voices, including Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Sam Cooke, Etta James, James Brown, and more. The band added:
"Our new album 'Homage' is a thank-you note written in sound. An offering to the great singers and songs that shaped the music we grew up listening to, and the songs we would eventually write. We hope you all enjoy this as much as we did making it. Thank you for all the years — keep it real and keep on rockin'!"
"Homage" Tracklist:
Never Alone (original song)
Bring It On Home (Sam Cooke cover)
Spread Your Wings (Queen cover)
I Wish It Would Rain (The Temptations cover)

This marks Tesla’s first new studio album in several years and arrives more than two decades after their popular “Real To Reel” covers project.Tesla will support the release on the road this summer with Mötley Crüe and Extreme on “The Return Of The Carnival Of Sins” tour, kicking off July 17 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, and running through late September.Longtime fans will appreciate this heartfelt return to the band’s beginnings, while newer listeners get a chance to hear Tesla’s signature groove applied to some all-time classic songs.

75-Year-Old Grandma Picks The Wrong Shift Leader At Tim Hortons (VIP)
Neeley and Chris dive into the bizarre legal fallout of a Tennessee school board member facing criminal assault charges after a context-dependent comment to a student. Was it a predatory move, or did an algorithmic outrage mob just destroy a 20-year career over a colloquial phrase? Immediately following that, the hosts react to the shocking viral footage of an elderly woman engaging in a physical brawl with a Tim Hortons shift leader. We break down the footage, look at who threw the first punch, and ask the uncomfortable question: Has public decorum officially collapsed?

Just added 4 brand new tracks from Masterplan (featuring Roland Grapow)! New album Metalmorphosis coming around the end of June... but we have a good portion of it now!!
Some say he made the smart move. Others think the timing raises questions that still haven't been answered.
And that's only the beginning.
We also look at George Lynch distancing Lynch Mob from Dokken territory, Sepultura preparing for their final career performance, Armored Saint joining Metal Church on a major co-headlining run, and why Angry Anderson still refuses to put Rose Tattoo completely to rest.

Something About This New Dokken Spin-Off Feels Incredibly Off! 2012
The classic era of 80s rock is fading, but what happens when the musicians themselves start tearing down their own legacy? We stumbled onto an unannounced, under-the-radar Dokken spin-off project featuring George Lynch, Jeff Pilson, and Mick Brown, and the results are... well, you just have to hear it to believe it. From helium vocals to sloppy guitar work, this might be the strangest rock release of the year.

Is this a cool tribute to a classic catalog, or is it a cheap, unproduced cash-in that should have stayed in the vault? We break down the tracks featuring Sebastian Bach, Tim "The Ripper" Owens, and Robert Mason, and point out exactly where things went completely off the rails. Let us know in the comments if you think this damages the band's history.
Something about the way rock media used to operate just hits differently, but not everybody agrees on what that actually means for the scene today. A look back at how "metal experts" used to handle regional festivals has left a lot of fans completely split.
Some people are calling it the funniest, most authentic representation of raw rock radio culture out there, while others are wondering how this even made it to air.
Let's not pretend the industry is the same as it used to be. Today, everything is sanitized, corporate-approved, and deeply self-serious. But when you look back at how things used to be handled behind the mic, it raises a lot of questions about where the dangerous edge of rock media actually went—or if it was just a chaotic mess all along.
