MINISTRY Announces Final Album Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery), Shares “Burned Out” Single

Ministry has announced that their upcoming album Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery) will be their final studio release. It is scheduled for October 30 via Cleopatra Records.

Al Jourgensen stated:

“I’m fucking done. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished. I’m amazed at the path that it’s taken, from ‘With Sympathy’ to where we’re at today, and all points in between. It’s been quite a ride, but I’m completely at peace with the fact that it’s done. It’s time to herd goats.”

The album features a final collaboration with former member Paul Barker on the closing track “We’re Still Here.” Current lineup contributions come from Monte Pittman, Cesar Soto, Paul D’Amour, John Bechdel, and Pepe Clarke Magaña.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD SPITS IN THE FACE OF METAL WITH DISASTROUS SURPRISE DANCE EP 'STATICA'!

If you were hoping M. Shadows and the boys were going to get back to heavy, crunchy riffs, guess again. They dropped four tracks—"Lights", "Statica", "Rejoice", and "Ashes"—clocking in at just over 18 minutes. And what did we get? Robotic vocals, sci-fi synths, and electronic dance beats.

Electropop? Techno? Are you kidding me?

Robotic vocals? Leave the auto-tune junk to pop radio clowns. Real heavy metal singers don't hide behind computer processors.
Sci-fi synths and EDM beats? This isn't a metal record. It’s music for a neon-lit rave or a video game lobby.
Zero guitars pushing the mix? Synyster Gates is one of the most talented shredders out there, and he's stuck playing backseat to electronic synth pads. Total train wreck.

Look, these guys haven't sounded like a true metal band in years. First, they went experimental on Life Is But A Dream..., then they put out a track for a video game, and now they give us 18 minutes of dance club noise. To top it off, they're heading out on tour this summer with Good Charlotte. Good Charlotte! What world are we living in?

If you want real, crushing heavy metal, this ain't it. It’s time for bands to stop trying to be "artistic" and just heavy metal again.
